Committed to Help Protect Our Environment

When producing plastic packaging the environment needs to be considered more than ever.

Environment Our industry has taken several initiatives on improving the impact that packaging has on the environment and Bell Packaging have gone further still to reduce waste in production and increase recycling after use.

As part of our wastepack registration, all packaging we produce can include the relevant SPI code number which identifies the material type and which is very important when recycling.

We are also continually investigating new materials to meet tomorrows environmental demands.

New information on PLA material

As part of our continued quest to offer our customers the latest technological advances we are pleased to announce that a Biodegradable version of Jetran Tubing is now available.

This exciting new development uses a material called PLA (Poly-Lactic-Acid).

PLA is made from a resin produced by the fermentation of starch and will be completely bio-degraded within 6-24 months depending on the composting conditions.

As you would expect with such a new raw material there are minimum manufacturing quantities and a price premium over traditional materials however if you believe that this will offer you benefits please contact us to discuss further.

Policy on the Environment (Bell Packaging 2006)

Our commitment is to strive continuously to minimise adverse effects on the environment without compromising the quality and high standards that we achieve and which customers associate with this company.
